Immersive Touch: Advanced LiDAR-Based Wall Interaction
Immersive Touch transforms LED walls and projection surfaces into interactive environments using professional LiDAR scanners and intelligent movement prediction. Unlike camera-based touch systems, it detects interaction in a scanning plane immediately in front of the wall, avoiding camera-related shadow interference. Movement prediction anticipates the direction of hand movements to support fast, fluid and responsive interaction.
LiDAR touch detection — without camera-related shadow interference
Professional LiDAR scanners detect interaction in a scanning plane immediately in front of the wall. Some lower-cost laser touch systems rely on a camera mounted near the projector. When a user blocks that camera’s view of the interaction point, touch detection can be interrupted. Immersive Touch does not depend on that camera view, so users do not need to avoid standing in its line of sight.
A distinct role within Immersive Suite
Immersive Touch provides the wall interaction layer. Immersive Hotspots is used to create scenarios with touch-enabled areas, media and quizzes. Immersive Launcher is used to operate the room and present content. These are complementary functions, not three names for the same software.
Intelligent movement prediction
Immersive Touch analyses the direction and speed of hand movements to anticipate where an interaction is heading. This movement-prediction technology helps compensate for detection and processing delays, creating a more immediate, fluid and natural touch experience across large immersive wall surfaces.
Professional LiDAR Integration
Immersive Touch supports a selection of commonly used professional high-end LiDAR scanners. Additional scanner models can be supported through software integration. Compatibility is assessed for each installation; no individual scanner models are listed here.
